Here’s hoping her fortunes turn around after Karl-Anthony Towns reveals that his mother has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and is in a medically induced coma.

Taking to Instagram with a six-minute video, the Minnesota Timberwolves star describes the heartbreaking ordeal of her symptoms and decline.

“I think it’s important that everyone understands the severity of what’s happening in the world right now with the coronavirus,” Towns says, while pausing to compose himself.

“We’re being positive; I’m being very positive. So I’m just keeping the strength up for everybody and my family,” he adds.
