The Detroit Tigers recently revealed what they would give in exchange to the lucky person who happens to catch Miguel Cabrera’s 500th home run ball (if the ball does land in the outfield stands, obviously), and if it’s money you’re seeking, then you’re plain out of luck.
The Tigers and Miggy have stated they will not offer money to get the 500th home run baseball back. Instead, the organization has offered to set up a meet-and-greet for the fan and Cabrera after the game and they are willing to exchange autographed memorabilia such as bats, baseballs, and jerseys for the ball, or even tickets to future games.
To get you even more pumped up for Miggy’s upcoming history-making home run moment, below is the elite company he could be joining by the end of the season (NOTE: Miggy added one more hit to his current hits total following the release of this tweet):
Miguel Cabrera is close to hitting some pretty amazing benchmarks in his career:
– 499 home runs
– 2,950 hitsHe would be just the 7th member of the 500-3,000 Club. pic.twitter.com/DF8JtNkBHf
