The rebuilding Detroit Lions are not only still looking for their first win of the 2021 season, but they’re also figuring out who on the current roster is a potential long term fit for the new regime of Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell.
The NFL Trade Deadline is Tuesday, November 2nd at 4 pm, and many Lions trade rumors continue to swirl about when it comes to players that were brought on during the Bob Quinn-Matt Patricia era.
A Lions name that keeps bubbling up with each passing week is Trey Flowers, who is currently in year three of a five-year, $90 million deal. After recording seven sacks during his first season in Detroit, Flowers can’t seem to stay healthy anymore appearing in only 12 games between 2020 and 2021 and totaling 3.5 sacks.
Also, there have been rumblings of him being possibly benched due to some of the younger players putting up more productive numbers.
Contending teams are always looking for pass rush help, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, who are really struggling on the defensive side of the ball this season:
The big question is….what could the Lions get in return for a player like Trey Flowers?
