Detroit Lions rookie offensive tackle Penei Sewell has been named to the Pro Football Writers Association’s All-Rookie Team and is the only Lion to appear on this season’s list.

Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, despite his second half surge, missed out on the nomination as Ja’Marr Chase (Bengals) and Jaylen Waddle (Dolphins) beat him out at the position.

According to Pro Football Focus, Sewell played in 1,039 snaps allowing only five sacks and committing just 11 penalties.

The former Oregon Duck was selected by Detroit with the 7th overall pick during the 2021 NFL Draft.
