Grand Valley State University has released its schedule for the upcoming 2022 football season, its 51st year of football.

According to the GVSU release, the ledger features five games versus teams that won six or more games, including two that advanced to the 2021 NCAA Division II semifinals, and five home games. In addition, the coast-to-coast schedule has GVSU playing a team from California, a team from Massachusetts and two from Colorado. The Lakers will play five non-conference games and six GLIAC games.

The Lakers finished the 2021 campaign with a 10-2 mark, advanced to the Super Region 3 semifinals, ranked third in the final Versus DII power rankings and fifth in the D2Football.com poll.
