The #6 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft has signed his first professional contract with the Detroit Red Wings.

The Red Wings have inked Swedish Defenseman Simon Edvinsson to a three-year entry-level contract that begins with the 2022-23 season.

Edvinsson totaled 2 goals and 19 assists to go with a plus-16 rating in 49 games played with Frolunda HC in the Swedish Elite League this past season.
