Former Pistons Legend & President Of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars Lands NBA Gig As Executive Vice President & Head Of Basketball Operations

Former Pistons icon and president of basketball operations Joe Dumars is leaving his current post as chief strategy officer with the Sacramento Kings for a position with the NBA as their new executive vice president and head of basketball operations.

Dumars spent his entire 14-year playing career with the Pistons from 1985-99 and was part of the team’s front office from 1999-2014 as president of basketball operations. Dumars had been with the Kings organization since being hired on June 21, 2019.

The 58-year-old won two NBA titles as a player in 1989 and 1990 and one as an executive in 2004.
