The Detroit Red Wings have wasted no time in trying to strengthen the depth of their organization as they have announced three smaller signings over the past week to players that will probably play a good chunk of time in Grand Rapids, but could also get some playing time in Detroit.
Andreasson, the 23-year-old from Sweden, spent this past season playing for Lulea HF in the Swedish Elite League totaling 26 goals and 25 assists in 65 games played.
Hirose, the soon-to-be 26-year-old and former Michigan State product, has spent the last three-plus season bouncing between Grand Rapids and Detroit. The native of Canada has produced 25 goals and 28 assists in 123 games played in Grand Rapids while also putting up 4 goals and 16 assists in 57 games played with Detroit.
Kampfer, the 33-year-old and former Michigan product, spent this past season in Russia and is a ten-year NHL veteran skating in 231 games.
The Red Wings are looking to get the Griffins back on the American Hockey League playoff map next season after missing the postseason this season for the first time since 2012.
