Troy Weaver and the Detroit Pistons did not wait until the night of the NBA Draft to make a deal involving Jerami Grant.
After fielding calls for months, Weaver has finally made the move in sending Grant to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for a 2025 first-round pick, and second-round picks were also exchanged between the two teams.
Grant has one year left on his current deal and is expected to make just under $21 million this upcoming season.
The Pistons now currently hold picks at #5 and #36 overall in tonight’s NBA Draft.
