Lions Drop Preseason Finale In Pittsburgh, Finish 1-2 In The Exhibition Slate

The Detroit Lions fell in its preseason finale on the road to the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday by a 19-9 final that featured regular starters in Jared Goff, D’Andre Swift, and Jamaal Williams not play on the offensive side of the ball for the visitors.

The main storyline in the game was the below-average play from backup quarterbacks David Blough (17-32, 160 yards, 1 TD) and Tim Boyle (5-15, 64 yards, 1 INT).

Detroit finishes the preseason at 1-2 and opens up the regular season at home against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, September 11th at 1 pm.

Lions fans, does either Blough or Boyle make the roster, or will the organization look elsewhere for a new backup quarterback?
