Tigers Add Miguel Cabrera & Austin Meadows To Injured List, Call Up Josh Lester For MLB Debut

The injuries keep mounting this season for those 2022 Detroit Tigers.

Also, with the team having been out of playoff contention for quite some time, the past few weeks have allowed the Tigers to make some roster moves that includes giving the younger/seasoned minor league players a shot at going up against big league competition.

Lester, the 28-year-old product of the University of Missouri, was drafted by the Tigers in the 13th-round of the 2015 MLB Draft and has spent his entire professional career in the Tigers’ farm system.

This season with the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens, Lester has appeared in 125 games batting .243 with 25 home runs and 82 RBI.

During his seven-year minor league career, Lester has hit .251 with 115 home runs and 425 RBI.
