The Detroit Tigers have made more roster moves prior to Friday’s 8 pm contract tender deadline, and when all was said and done, the Tigers’ 40-man roster currently sits at 38.

Notable players not offered a contract for the 2023 season were Jeimer Candelario, Harold Castro, Willi Castro, and Kyle Funkhouser.
Candelario spent six seasons in Detroit hitting .243 with 65 HR and 245 RBI, while Harold Castro played hit .284 in four-plus seasons with the Tigers; Willi Castro batted .245 in three-plus seasons in Detroit; and Funkhouser pitched two seasons with the Tigers compiling a 4.20 ERA in 85 2/3 innings pitched.
