Detroit Lions kicker Michael Badgley has been named by the National Football League as the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week following his perfect kicking performance during Sunday’s 40-14 victory at Ford Field over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The 27-year-old has appeared in seven games this season for the Lions converting on 11 of his 12 field goal attempts while also going 18-for-18 on extra point attempts.
Badgley started the season with the Chicago Bears going 4-for-4 on field goal attempts in one game played and spent the 2021 season between the Indianapolis Colts (12 games) and Tennessee Titans (1 game).
The New Jersey native began his professional career with the Los Angeles Chargers from 2018-20.
