Lions thrash Bears in regular season home finale, keep playoff hopes alive going into final week

Make it seven wins in the last nine games for those Detroit Lions following Sunday’s dismantling of the Chicago Bears in the final home game of the regular season at Ford Field.

For the third time this season, the Lions are back at the .500 mark with an 8-8 overall record and are still alive for the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC with one game remaining.

To make the postseason, the Lions will have to head up to historic Lambeau Field this coming Sunday and knock off Aaron Rodgers and the 8-8 Green Bay Packers and hope the 8-8 Seattle Seahawks fall at home to the 5-11 Los Angeles Rams.

The Packers can get in with a win over Detroit, and Seattle sneaks in with a win over the Rams plus a Lions victory over Green Bay.
