The Detroit Red Wings have inked defenseman Oli Määttä to a two-year contract extension at $3 million per season.
Määttä, the 28-year-old native of Finland, has totaled five goals and twelve assists to go with a plus-five rating this season after signing a one-year deal with the Red Wings this past offseason worth $2.25 million.
Määttä was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins with the 22nd overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
