Pistons sign former first-round pick R.J. Hampton to a contract for the remainder of the season

After being waived by the Orlando Magic, the Detroit Pistons wasted no time in signing former 2020 first-round pick R.J. Hampton to a contract for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.

The 22-year-old Hampton was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 24th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, who then immediately traded his rights to the Denver Nuggets.
