Red Wings send Filip Hronek to Vancouver in exchange for draft picks

The Detroit Red Wings have made a move prior to Friday’s NHL Trade Deadline in trading defenseman Filip Hronek and a draft pick to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a pair of high-end draft picks.

Hronek, the 25-year-old native of the Czech Republic, was drafted by Detroit in the second-round (53rd overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and skated in 305 games with the Red Wings racking up 30 goals and 126 assists.
