Red Wings sign Antti Tuomisto to a two-year entry-level deal beginning next season

The Detroit Red Wings have signed another draft pick from a few seasons ago in defenseman Antti Tuomisto to a two-year entry-level contract beginning in the 2023-24 season.

Tuomisto, the 22-year-old native of Finland, was drafted by the Red Wings in the second-round (35th overall) during the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and spent two seasons at the University of Denver from 2020-22 tallying 3 goals and 17 assists to go with a plus-18 rating.

This season, Tuomisto played professionally back home in Finland for TPS (Turun Palloseura) totaling 5 goals and 17 assists in 63 games played between the regular season and playoffs.
