The Michigan Wolverines Basketball team has picked up its first transfer for the upcoming 2023-24 season in guard Nimari Burnett, who spent this past season with Alabama.

Burnett appeared in 27 games during the 2022-23 season with the Crimson Tide averaging 5.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest. The Chicago native spent the 2020-21 season with the Texas Tech Red Raiders totaling 5.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in 12 games played. Burnett missed the entire 2021-22 season due to a knee injury after transferring to Alabama from Texas Tech.
