If the season-opening series in Tampa against the Tampa Bay Rays was any indication of how the 2023 season is going to go for the Detroit Tigers, then we’re in for another long season.
Detroit was blanked on Thursday in the season opener by a 4-0 decision and then followed it up with 12-2 and 5-1 losses on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, at Tropicana Field.
Everything that could’ve gone wrong went that way and even worse for the Tigers over the weekend.
Next up, it doesn’t get any easier this coming week for the 0-3 Tigers:
Monday-Wednesday: at Houston Astros (Minute Maid Park)
Thursday, Saturday, & Sunday: vs. Boston Red Sox (Comerica Park)
