NFL suspends four Lions players for violating the league’s gambling policy, Lions immediately release two players

The National Football League (NFL) has struck down on the Detroit Lions and suspended four players for violating the league’s gambling policy during the 2022 season.

Immediately, the Lions cut ties with both Quintez Cephus and C.J. Moore, who are suspended for the entire 2023 season.

Lastly, it wasn’t just Lions players that were caught breaking league rules….

The 25-year-old Cephus was a fifth-round pick by the Lions during the 2020 NFL Draft and was entering the final year of his rookie deal.

The 27-year-old Moore was an free agent pick up by Detroit out of college and spent the last four years with the Lions. Recently, Moore re-signed with the Lions for two years at $4.5 million.

Berryhill and Williams appeared in ten combined games during their rookie campaigns with the Lions in this past season.
