The injury bug hits the Tigers….hard.

Well, the first two months were fun while it lasted.

After watching the scrappy Detroit Tigers scratch and claw their way towards the .500 mark and first-place in the American League Central, the injuries have begun to pop up in bunches involving key contributors.

First, it began with ace pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez followed shortly after by outfielder Matt Vierling hitting the injured list:

Then, it was budding star outfielder Riley Greene:

Recently, reliever Trey Wingenter went from the short term IL to being on the shelf even longer:

Also, we’re still waiting to see when guys like Tarik Skubal, Casey Mize, Matt Manning, Kerry Carpenter, and Spencer Turnbull, just to name a few players, return from their respective injuries.

Detroit sports just can’t have anything nice these days….
