Tigers’ Alex Lange named American League Reliever of the Month

Detroit Tigers reliever Alex Lange has been tabbed as the American League Reliever of the Month in which the 27-year-old compiled a sparkling 0.84 ERA to go with 17 strikeouts and 7 saves in 10.2 innings pitched during the month of May.

Going into the first weekend of June, Lange has pitched 23.1 innings totaling 32 strikeouts and 11 walks to go with a 1.16 ERA.

The California native is currently in his third season with the Tigers and was a former first-round pick (30th overall) of the Chicago Cubs out of LSU during the 2017 MLB Draft.
