Tigers Weekly Report: Downward Spiral

A nine-game losing streak.

That’s where we’re at with the 2023 Detroit Tigers following an 0-6 week and have now been swept in three consecutive three-game series against the Chicago White Sox (road), Philadelphia Phillies (road), and Arizona Diamondbacks (home).

To make matters worse, the Tigers are currently the ONLY team in Major League Baseball that have not won a single game in the month of June as we are typing this up.

Injuries, lack of depth, you name it. The Tigers are crashing hard and now sit at 26-37 overall and in fourth-place in the American League Central.

The funny part is….they’re still 5.5 games back of the first-place Minnesota Twins, who currently lead the worst division in baseball with a .500 record of 33-33.

On a “minor” positive note, some of the Tigers’ hitting prospects have been raking of late:

The schedule doesn’t get any easier for the slumping Tigers this week:

Monday-Wednesday: vs. Atlanta Braves (Comerica Park)
Thursday-Sunday: at Minnesota Twins (Target Field)
