The 2023 Detroit Tigers continue to be an unpredictable baseball team.
How so?
Well, take a look below at what they’ve done against the other four teams in the American League Central.
The Tigers just completed a nine-game road trip and finished with a 5-4 record to push their overall mark to 57-67 overall and 7.5 games back of the first-place Minnesota Twins, but they are also just 1.5 games behind the second-place Cleveland Guardians with a game in hand.
Detroit dropped two of three against the Boston Red Sox to kick off the road swing, and then followed that up with a two-game split against the Twins and taking three of four against the Guardians.
The positives from the past week was the power surge from the core of Riley Greene, Spencer Torkelson, and Kerry Carpenter.
Now, the Tigers return to Detroit for a ten-game homestand against a trio of playoff-contending teams, and here’s what’s on tap for this week:
Monday-Wednesday: vs. Chicago Cubs (Comerica Park)
Friday-Sunday: vs. Houston Astros (Comerica Park)
