The 2023 Detroit Tigers sure know how to get our hopes up only to send us crashing back down to reality quickly.
The current ten-game homestand has not treated the Tigers well as they are currently 2-4 through the first six games after dropping two of three against both the Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros.
As we hit the end of August, the Tigers sit at 59-71 overall, now 8.5 games behind the first-place Minnesota Twins, and 2.5 games back of the second-place Cleveland Guardians.
The highlights of the week came from a guy who hit his first career Major League home run in style and one who’s hit quite a few out of the park throughout his storied career.
Also, we’re not crying, it’s the onions….
Here’s this week’s schedule for the Tigers as we enter the final full month of the 2023 season:
Monday-Thursday: vs. New York Yankees (Comerica Park)
Friday-Sunday: at Chicago White Sox (Guaranteed Rate Field)
