The 2023 season has officially come to an end, and the Detroit Tigers put a bow on a season where most (or all) believe that they exceeded expectations.
After taking two of three from both the Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Guardians this past week at Comerica Park, the Tigers found a way to finish second in the American League Central with a 78-84 overall mark, nine games back of the division champion Minnesota Twins.
Also, Detroit was able to send future Hall of Famer Miguel Cabrera out in style in what was an emotional weekend that consisted of back-to-back sellouts on Saturday and Sunday for the first time since August of 2014.
However, his playing career may be over, but Miggy is not leaving the organization any time soon.
The Tigers will next be in action for regular season play on March 28, 2024 when they begin on the road to take on the Chicago White Sox.
