Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal has been named by Major League Baseball as the American League Pitcher of the Month for September.

This season, the 26-year-old Skubal started 15 games after coming off an injury to begin the 2023 season compiling a 7-3 record to go with a 2.80 ERA, 102 strikeouts, 14 walks, and just 25 earned runs allowed.

During September, the California native went 4-0 with a sparkling 0.90 ERA to go with 43 strikeouts and only 4 walks.
