The Detroit Red Wings have inked forward Michael Rasmussen to a four-year contract extension with an average annual value of $3.2 million.

The 24-year-old Rasmussen was drafted 9th overall by Detroit in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and has appeared in 293 career games with the Red Wings totaling 47 goals and 62 assists.

This season, Rasmussen has tallied 11 goals and 12 assists to go with a plus-eleven rating in 55 games skated.
