Griffins oust Rockford in Calder Cup Playoffs first-round, notch first playoff series victory since 2017

For the first time since the 2017 Calder Cup Playoffs, the Grand Rapids Griffins have won a playoff series after claiming a 3-1 series victory over the Rockford IceHogs in the best-of-five Central Division Semifinals.

Jonatan Berggren's third game-winning goal of the playoffs helped the Griffins close out their best-of-five series against the Rockford IceHogs with a 4-2 victory in Game 4 on Sunday at the BMO Center.

The Griffins advance to the Central Division Finals against the Texas Stars-Milwaukee Admirals winner with dates and times to be determined at a later date.
