Tigers stumble to .500 mark overall following series losses to Cleveland and Houston

We all knew it was going to eventually happen at some point given the inconsistent offense from this year’s Detroit Tigers squad.

Now, after a couple of series losses to both the Cleveland Guardians (road) and Houston Astros (home) this past week, the Tigers now find themselves at .500 overall on the season at 20-20 overall and in fourth-place in the five-team American League Central, four games behind first-place Cleveland.

Detroit lost two of three against both Cleveland and Houston to finish with a 2-4 mark for the week.

The good from the week that was….Tarik Skubal continues to be brilliant on the mound with a perfect 5-0 record:

Another piece of good news, but it’s also bad news given where we’re at in the season, Spencer Torkelson FINALLY went yard for the first time this season on Sunday:

This week, the Tigers face a pair of below .500 teams in Miami Marlins (home) on Monday-Wednesday and Arizona Diamondbacks (road) on Friday-Sunday.
