The Detroit Tigers just can’t seem to get the bats going on a consistent basis, and it’s the primary reason why this team continues to float around the .500 mark overall after a solid first couple of weeks to start the season.
Last week, the Tigers lost a pair of three-game sets to the Washington Nationals (home) and Houston Astros (road) to drop their overall record to 34-37 overall, 11 games behind the first-place Cleveland Guardians.
Another note to add to yet another frustrating season to this point is that the Tigers have a better road record than at home (16-19 home and 18-18 road).
Some positives from the previous week include Riley Greene going off on Saturday in Houston and Justin Henry-Malloy homering for the first time at Comerica Park against Washington.
The Tigers begin this week on the road against the Atlanta Braves on Monday-Wednesday and conclude the week at home against the struggling Chicago White Sox on Friday-Sunday.
