Over the weekend during the 2024 NHL Entry Draft out in Las Vegas, the Detroit Red Wings added eight more players to their prospect pool led by first-round choice in Norwegian and right winger Michael Brandsegg-Nygard.
The 18-year-old Brandsegg-Nygard has spent the better part of the previous two seasons playing for Mora IK in the Swedish Elite League totaling 13 goals and 18 assists to go with a plus-four rating in 52 games played.
