Tigers get back to .500 mark following impressive Chicago road trip

For the first time since June 5th, the Detroit Tigers are back to the .500 mark overall on the 2024 season at 66-66 following a seven-game Chicago road swing that saw the Tigers complete a 5-2 trip that was finished off with a four-game sweep of the worst team in Major League Baseball, the Chicago White Sox.

The Tigers began the trip dropping two of three at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs but rebounded nicely to climb back to the break even point.

Currently, Detroit sits nine games back of the first-place Cleveland Guardians and 6.5 games back of an American League Wild Card spot with 30 games remaining.

The youth movement continued this past week as another prospect in Ty Madden made his Major League debut on Monday night.

Tarik Skubal continues his dominant ways on the mound.

“Tork” may have found his swing again.

Overall, the Tigers are playing some good baseball right now.

This week, the Tigers back home at Comerica Park for a pair of three-game sets against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday-Thursday and Boston Red Sox on Friday-Sunday.
