Lions sign Alim McNeill to four-year contract extension

The Detroit Lions are keeping another one of their own for the long run as they have agreed to a four-year contract extension with defensive tackle Alim McNeill that runs through the 2028 season.

The 24-year-old McNeill was drafted by the Lions in the third-round (72nd overall) during the 2021 NFL Draft out of NC State and has appeared in 52 games totaling 120 tackles (54 solo), 10.5 sacks, and 18 tackles for loss.

With McNeill’s extension, the 2021 draft class for the Lions is turning out pretty nicely for Brad Holmes to say the least:
