The 2024 calendar year began with the Michigan Wolverines upending the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl during last season’s College Football Playoff Semifinal.
The 2024 calendar year just happened to end with Michigan beating Alabama again….with the stakes much lower in the ReliaQuest Bowl down in Tampa, Florida.
The Wolverines, who came into the bowl game 16.5-point underdogs to the nationally-ranked Crimson Tide, end Sherrone Moore’s first season at the helm with an 8-5 overall mark that included two straight high-profile victories at #2 Ohio State to end the regular season and against #11 Alabama in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
