Lions shocked in Divisional Round by Washington, Ben Johnson bolts for head coaching job in Chicago

The Detroit Lions picked the worst time to have their worst performance of the season on both sides of the football as the Washington Commanders stormed into Ford Field on Saturday night and stunned the NFC’s top seed by a 45-31 final to earn a spot in the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Lions turned the football over five times in the loss with Jared Goff contributing to four of them at crucial points throughout the contest (three interceptions and one fumble).

Just days after the emotional playoff loss, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson decided that now was the right time for him to take an NFL head coaching gig, and he didn’t have to look far to get one:

Now, we await decisions on other Lions assistants that are currently interviewing for better jobs with other teams in the league.
