The Detroit Tigers have made another small free agency move in signing relief pitcher Tommy Kahnle to a one-year deal worth just under $8 million.
The 35-year-old Kahnle’s ten-year Major League has featured stops with the New York Yankees (6 years), Colorado Rockies (2 seasons), Chicago White Sox (2 seasons), and Los Angeles Dodgers (1 season).
In a corresponding move, the Tigers designated former first-round pick Alex Faedo for assignment.
