The Grand Valley State Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams began a regular season-ending four-game homestand over the weekend against the Wayne State Warriors (Thursday) and Saginaw Valley State Cardinals (Saturday) looking to bounce back after splitting a pair of games the previous weekend on the road.
The second-to-last weekend of the regular season saw the Laker Women lock up another regular season GLIAC Championship, while the Men split their respective pair of games to stay within striking distance of a potential first-round GLIAC Tournament home game.

As previously stated, the Laker Women captured an outright GLIAC Regular Season Championship, which happened to be their fourth straight and fifth overall under head coach Mike Williams:
