Don’t look now, but the NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament has arrived beginning this weekend with regional play, and two in-state powers in the Michigan State Spartans and Western Michigan Broncos have earned top seeds in their respective regions.
The Spartans and Broncos go into the NCAA Tournament two of the best three teams in the country:
Both MSU and WMU are coming off regular season and postseason conference title sweeps this season in the Big Ten and NCHC, respectively, and will begin their respective tournament runs on Thursday.
