Western Michigan locks up first Frozen Four berth in program history, MSU stunned in first round

It definitely feels like the first time for the Western Michigan Broncos hockey program as they captured their first-ever Frozen Four bid in program history following regional wins over the weekend against Minnesota State (2-1 in double overtime) and Massachusetts (2-1).

The Broncos will take on the defending champion Denver Pioneers in one National Semifinal matchup on Thursday, April 10th at 5 pm in St. Louis.

Michigan State, on the other hand, would be upset in their first NCAA Tournament game after allowing the eventual game-winning goal with ten seconds remaining in regulation against the Cornell Big Red.
