The Detroit Tigers kicked off the 2025 regular season with a trip out west to face the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers followed by a road series in the Pacific Northwest against the Seattle Mariners before coming home this past weekend for their home-opening series against the Chicago White Sox.
It was a tough start to the season against the Dodgers, but the Tigers were able to regroup in the next two series against the Mariners and White Sox to arrive into a new week with an above .500 record of 5-4 overall.
As a result, the Tigers find themselves in the early lead in the American League Central standings and are currently the only team in the division with an above .500 mark.
