Even though they weren’t sweeps this past week, the Detroit Tigers collected two more series wins after taking two of three from both the New York Yankees at home and Minnesota Twins on the road and were able to maintain their small early season lead in the American League Central heading into another week.
The Tigers took the first two games of both series against the Yankees and Twins before falling the series finales and currently sit three games above the .500 mark overall.
