U of M fans, actually everyone in the state of Michigan should be proud because Katie Bouman a U of M grad is responsible for the algorithm that allowed us to take the first ever photo of a Black Hole!
Bouman is no stranger to black holes, she did a Ted Talk back in 2016 all about taking pictures of black holes.
Her accomplishment is a huge step ahead in our understanding of space and needless to say she was thrilled about her discovery being released to the public!
