The Detroit Pistons have been struggling all season. They’re 17-32 on the season and will likely miss the playoffs.
Their one bright spot has been Derrick Rose. He’s been playing his best basketball since his early years in the league. This year’s All Star game is in Chicago where is career started. Unfortunately, Rose wasn’t even selected as a reserve.
He was passed up by the likes of Ben Simmons from Philadelphia and Kyle Lowry from Toronto. Rose is arguably having a better season than both of those players.
He’s averaging 18.9 points, 6 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 27 minutes per game. Rose has also scored 20 or more points in 13 consecutive games.
The starters in the back court for the Eastern Conference are Kemba Walker and Trae Young.
Do you think Rose deserved an All Star bid this year?
