Red Wings Hire New Assistant Coach In Alex Tanguay

Detroit Red Wings General Manager Steve Yzerman has found his replacement assistant coach to fill the void left by Michigan native Dan Bylsma as former NHLer Alex Tanguay will join the Red Wings staff after two seasons as an assistant coach with the American Hockey League’s Iowa Wild.  Prior to his time with Iowa, Tanguay enjoyed a 16-year NHL career with the Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames, Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Arizona Coyotes.
