Both Barry and Calvin retired early, while Stafford wanted a trade out of Detroit to have a chance to win a Super Bowl.

The windows of opportunities the Lions have squandered over the decades has been staggering, and many former players, whether they’ve played for the Lions or not, have not been afraid to voice their opinions on the organization wasting the careers of many talented players.
