Red Wings Re-Sign Chase Pearson To A One-Year, Two-Way Contract

The Detroit Red Wings have re-signed one of their former draft picks in Chase Pearson to a one-year, two-way deal.

Pearson, the Georgia native, was selected by the Red Wings in the fifth-round (140th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft when Ken Holland was still general manager of the team.

The soon-to-be 25-year-old played in three games with the Red Wings this past season and has appeared in 147 career games with Detroit’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins, totaling 25 goals and 39 assists.
