It was going to happen eventually, and the Detroit Lions officially made the move in placing 2022 first-round pick Jameson Williams on the reserve/non-football injury list as he still recovers from a torn ACL back in early January.
The 21-year-old and Alabama product was selected by the Lions with the 12th overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.
In addition, all NFL teams had to trim their rosters down to 80 players by 4 pm today, and here are the moves the team has made since initial cuts were made on August 16th to get down to 85 players:
