Lions put up 45 against Seattle, but give up 48 in Week #4 loss at home

The Detroit Lions were involved in a high-scoring shootout on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks at Ford Field, but the big issue was the defense’s inability to slow down the Seahawks’ offense as the visitors never punted and eventually came away with a 48-45 win to improve to 2-2 on the season.

With the loss, the Lions now sit at 1-3.

The bright spot in the loss was the Lions’ explosive offense:

Jared Goff – 26/39 passing, 378 yards, 4 touchdowns, 1 interception, 121.5 rating
Jamaal Williams – 19 carries, 108 yards, 2 touchdowns
T.J. Hockenson – 8 catches, 179 yards, 2 touchdowns
Josh Reynolds – 7 catches, 81 yards, 1 touchdowns

The Lions will hit the road this Sunday before the Bye Week for a 1 pm kickoff against their former head coach in Matt Patricia and the 1-3 New England Patriots.
